Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

UCC Energy is looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and financial modelling within its upstream oil & gas operations in Libya. The role will support strategic investment decisions and provide performance insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Develop financial models, scenarios, sensitivities and investment evaluations.
• Prepare business cases and support strategic investment decisions.
• Deliver KPI reporting, variance analysis and performance insights to management.
• Maintain robust model governance, data integrity and planning controls.
• Partner with operational, commercial and finance teams to support decision‑making and performance improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Strong experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance management.
• Knowledge of upstream oil & gas operations, economics and value drivers.
• Experience with ERP/SAP systems, planning tools and advanced financial analysis.
• Exposure to PSCs, joint ventures, cost recovery, investment appraisal and business case development is highly desirable.
• Professional English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Preference will be given to Libyan candidates.
