National Border Governance Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Border Governance Officer to support migration management programming in Libya. Reporting to the Senior Programme Coordinator and under the guidance of the Chief of Mission, the officer will work closely with the Ministry of Interior and other stakeholders to ensure effective border governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination of the Integrated Border Governance (IBG) programme and related migration management activities with the Ministry of Interior.
• Monitor programme activities against agreed frameworks and reporting requirements.
• Provide regular updates and consultations to the Chief of Mission and other senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between IOM, national authorities, UN agencies, donors, and civil‑society partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, International Relations or a related field.
• Relevant experience in migration management, border governance, or related humanitarian programmes is preferred.
