Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

UCC Energy is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, performance management and investment analysis across its upstream oil & gas portfolio. The role will provide financial insights, evaluate investment opportunities and help drive strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and financial performance reporting.
• Develop financial models, conduct scenario analysis, valuation and investment appraisal.
• Evaluate commercial proposals, bids, tenders and new business opportunities.
• Analyse production, pricing, CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow and portfolio performance drivers.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and executive presentations to support decision‑making.
• Support capital allocation, portfolio optimisation and strategic planning initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in oil & gas finance, FP&A, commercial finance, economics or investment analysis.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent are an advantage.
• Fluent English required; Arabic is preferred.
• Preference for candidates based in Libya.
