Senior Media Analyst – EU Policy Outreach

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Senior Media Analyst to support the EU Delegation to the Middle East and North Africa (DG MENA) in monitoring and analysing media coverage of EU policies, initiatives and partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region. The role is short‑term (up to 36 months) and will provide evidence‑based insights to strengthen the visibility and impact of EU communication activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor print, broadcast, online and social media coverage related to EU policies, initiatives and partnerships.
• Produce regular media monitoring reports, analytical briefings and media summaries.
• Analyse media trends, public narratives and stakeholder perceptions across the target regions.
• Assess the reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns and media activities.
• Identify emerging issues, risks and opportunities that may influence communication strategies.
• Support communication teams with evidence‑based recommendations and media insights.
• Use media monitoring and analytics tools to collect, analyse and visualise media data.
• Contribute to strategic reporting and communication planning.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in media studies, communication or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• Minimum 5 years of general experience in media analysis/monitoring.
• At least 3 years of specific experience producing media analysis reports.

• Familiarity with media monitoring tools.
