Country Representative

About the role

The International Youth Federation (IYF) seeks a dynamic Country Representative to lead its national team and drive youth empowerment initiatives in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. This senior position will shape the country‑level strategy, coordinate programmes, and act as the primary liaison with government, partners, and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and direction for IYF activities within the country.
• Lead and mentor a team of national volunteers and staff to deliver projects and initiatives.
• Mobilise resources, secure financing, and build partnerships with public and private stakeholders.
• Ensure programme results are aligned with national youth development priorities.
• Oversee advocacy, communication, and operational functions of the country office.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in youth development, international development, or a related non‑profit sector.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder partnerships and secure funding.
• Strong understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and national policy frameworks.
• Excellent ethical standards, integrity, and accountability.
