Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Site Engineer will be based on construction sites in Benghazi, Libya, supervising the installation of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. Working full‑time on‑site, you will ensure that all mechanical works comply with design specifications, standards, and safety regulations while supporting project timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and relevant codes before work begins.
• Monitor and coordinate contractors performing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other mechanical installations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, workmanship and material compliance.
• Collaborate with civil and structural engineering teams to resolve interface issues.
• Prepare progress reports, document site activities and support testing and commissioning of systems.
• Assist in continuous improvement of on‑site processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical works on construction sites.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with consultants, contractors and clients.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
