National Intern – Child Protection, EVAC & Communications

About the role

The internship supports UNICEF’s Child Protection Programme in Libya, focusing on capacity‑building, cascade training, and communications related to child justice, ending violence against children and children on the move. The role is office‑based in Tripoli for six months.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and documenting cascade training activities on mental health and psychosocial support, case management, child justice and children on the move.
• Support the development, review and formatting of training curricula, facilitator guides, presentations and learning materials.
• Coordinate with government counterparts, implementing partners, consultants and facilitators to ensure effective training delivery.
• Prepare meeting minutes, briefing notes, reports and other programme documentation.
• Monitor training implementation, track participants and manage knowledge‑sharing processes.
• Contribute to communication and visibility materials such as success stories, photographs, social‑media content and event highlights in line with UNICEF branding.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated (within two years) from a recognised university programme in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Law or a related field.
• Strong interest in child protection, child justice, mental health and communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document preparation.
