Senior Migration & Mobility Expert (EU Project)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non‑Key Expert to provide rapid, flexible, and high‑quality technical assistance for the EU‑funded “Egypt Downtown Facility” project. The role focuses on migration governance, mobility, legal migration pathways, border management, and protection‑related policies, supporting EU‑Egypt dialogue.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical assistance assignments related to migration governance, mobility, legal migration pathways, border management, and protection‑related policies.
• Prepare policy analyses, assessments, strategies, background papers and recommendations on migration and mobility.
• Facilitate institutional cooperation and policy dialogue between public authorities and international partners, including EU‑Egypt migration and mobility discussions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in migration studies, international relations, political science, law, public policy, development studies or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in migration governance, mobility, legal migration pathways, border management or protection‑related policies.
• Proven experience preparing policy analyses, assessments, strategies, background papers or recommendations on migration and mobility.
• Experience supporting institutional cooperation and policy dialogue between public authorities and international partners.
• Good knowledge of EU migration and mobility policies and cooperation instruments.
• Fluency in English (C1); Arabic highly desirable; French an asset.
