Data Collector – Field Monitoring

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Data Collector to support its emergency health response in Sabha, Libya. You will work directly in the field, gathering quantitative and qualitative data through monitoring visits, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews. Your daily reports will inform program monitoring, evaluation, and community feedback mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data collection activities, including monitoring and evaluation assessments, FGDs, and KIIs.
• Visit project sites to gather and verify data, ensuring high quality during collection and entry.
• Support regular Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) sessions, surveys, and capacity‑building activities.
• Assist in data analysis, interpretation, and documentation of findings.
• Maintain strict adherence to data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in field‑level data collection and basic data analysis.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Experience with ICT tools and digital data collection platforms.
• Basic data analysis capabilities.
