English & School Education Project Coordinator

About the role

The English & School Education Project Coordinator supports the programme team in delivering British Council education initiatives in Libya. You will ensure contracts, financial administration and data reporting are carried out in line with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Hold vendors and suppliers accountable for service delivery and manage relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Plan, monitor and report on project budgets, maintain accurate financial records and support forecasting.
• Enter and quality‑check monitoring data, conduct basic analysis and produce progress reports for funders.
• Support internal compliance activities such as due‑diligence, records management and data storage.
• Promote an inclusive, anti‑racist culture and apply the British Council’s EDI framework.

Required profile

• Experience in a supporting role on programmes or contracts, including administrative and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts.
• Proven ability to work with external partners and stakeholders.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Arts, Education or English.
• Legal right to work in Libya at the time of application.
