Electrical Engineer – Generator Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead inspection, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance of generators, control panels, ATS and synchronization systems. The role combines hands‑on field work with technical analysis to ensure reliable operation of critical electrical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, test and repair electrical generators and related systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot generator control panels, ATS systems and electrical control circuits.
• Service wiring, cables, breakers, relays, contactors, sensors and other components.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules.
• Perform electrical testing and measurements using diagnostic equipment.
• Support generator installation, commissioning, testing and synchronization.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Identify required spare parts and coordinate with the Spare Parts team.
• Provide field support for emergency breakdowns and guide technicians.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with generators and industrial equipment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with generator control panels and ATS systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good technical English and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driving licence preferred and willingness to work on‑site at customer locations.
