High School English Teacher (Full‑time)

About the role

Laureates International School is seeking a dedicated High School English Teacher to join its Tripoli campus. You will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons that align with internationally recognised curricula, fostering critical thinking and a love of reading among secondary‑level students.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed lesson plans and facilitate dynamic class discussions.
• Guide reading and writing assignments, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and Pearson Edexcel exam preparation.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes.
• Maintain an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.

Required profile

• Strong instructional skills in English teaching and lesson planning for secondary students.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities to model high‑quality language use.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education or a related field; teaching certification or licensure preferred.
• Proven classroom‑management experience and ability to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Familiarity with internationally recognised programmes such as Pearson Edexcel and student‑centred, inquiry‑based teaching methods.
