Local Coordinator – National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) – Libya

About the role

The National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Libya is seeking a Local Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme in the country. The role involves promoting the programme, supporting applicants, managing project results, and ensuring effective coordination with EU bodies and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Promote, inform and follow up on Erasmus+ activities, including organising information campaigns and maintaining a dedicated website.
• Provide training and support to potential applicants, delivering sessions on proposal preparation and specific EU programme topics.
• Disseminate and exploit project results, contributing to studies, statistics and reports for the European Commission and EACEA.
• Monitor higher‑education issues related to the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), drafting briefing papers, notes and progress reports.
• Administer the NEO, manage technical and administrative staff, monitor the budget and prepare implementation reports.
• Coordinate with the EACEA, EU Delegation, local and national authorities, the European Commission and other NEOs and National Agencies.

Required profile

• Eligibility criteria as defined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the EU Delegation in Libya and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
