Economic Recovery Officer

About the role

The Economic Recovery Officer will support the design, implementation and technical oversight of livelihood and income‑generating activities within the Danish Refugee Council’s Economic Recovery programme. Working under the supervision of the Economic Recovery Team Leader, the officer will ensure activities are delivered efficiently, meet DRC standards and contribute to the overall programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Economic Recovery activities, including livelihoods, capacity building, emergency preparedness and income‑generating initiatives.
• Conduct and support field assessments such as focus group discussions, key informant interviews and surveys.
• Monitor programme activities, analyse data and provide feedback for adaptive programming.
• Document activities in line with DRC procedures, SOPs and donor requirements.
• Co‑facilitate trainings, workshops and capacity‑building sessions.
• Organise programme events (e.g., job fairs) and manage stakeholder engagement, logistics and reporting.
• Support beneficiary selection, grant delivery, business plan review and mentoring.
• Liaise with MEAL and other departments to ensure integrated delivery and accountability.
• Prepare regular reports, case studies and success stories for the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in economic recovery, livelihoods or humanitarian programming.
• Ability to conduct field assessments and analyse labour‑market data.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience coordinating trainings, workshops and stakeholder events.
