Senior Geophysics Manager

About the role

The Senior Geophysics Manager will lead seismic interpretation and subsurface evaluation activities that support exploration, appraisal and development programmes. Reporting to senior management and Joint Venture committees, the role combines technical leadership with stakeholder communication across North‑African assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2D/3D seismic interpretation and subsurface evaluation workflows.
• Oversee seismic acquisition, processing QA/QC and interpretation pipelines.
• Support reservoir modelling and prospect maturation activities.
• Prepare and present technical recommendations to JV committees and senior management.
• Contribute to geophysical best‑practice development and capability building.
• Assist in the planning and execution of exploration, appraisal and development programmes.

Required profile

• MSc in Geophysics, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• 10‑15 years of upstream Oil & Gas experience, preferably with a major or large independent E&P operator.
• Strong hands‑on experience in seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating subsurface opportunities in North Africa.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent stakeholder‑management and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to engage Joint‑Venture partners and regulatory stakeholders.
