Senior Mechanical Specialist – Gas Turbine

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Specialist to lead mechanical maintenance and support activities on Siemens SGT-300 and SGT-400 gas turbines. The role is field‑based and involves hands‑on work, technical supervision, and close collaboration with instrumentation and control teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Siemens SGT-300 and SGT-400 turbines.
• Lead inspection, disassembly, overhaul, re‑assembly and component replacement.
• Maintain and troubleshoot compressors, rotors, blades, bearings, seals, combustion, fuel and lubrication systems.
• Conduct alignment, balancing, clearance checks and vibration troubleshooting.
• Support installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and shutdown activities.
• Participate in retrofit, modification and mechanical upgrade projects.
• Coordinate with instrumentation, control, PLC and SCADA teams on related sensors and actuators.
• Prepare technical reports ensuring compliance with OEM procedures, HSE requirements and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in gas turbine mechanical maintenance.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Siemens SGT‑300 and SGT‑400 turbines.
• Proven track record in overhaul, alignment, balancing, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, bearings, lubrication and vibration monitoring.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, manuals and OEM documentation.
• Good English communication and technical reporting skills.
• Commitment to HSE and safe working practices.
