Environmental Manager

About the role

Archirodon, a leading international EPC contractor, is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead overall environmental management and compliance for its projects. The role serves as the primary environmental liaison with the client, consultants, laboratories, subcontractors and other stakeholders, ensuring all activities meet contractual, legislative and permit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and associated sub‑plans, registers and monitoring records.
• Coordinate qualified third‑party consultants, laboratories and monitoring personnel for baseline surveys, specialist assessments and sampling programmes.
• Plan, supervise and review environmental monitoring programmes covering marine water quality, sediment quality, habitats, wastewater and waste management.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits, record findings, recommend corrective actions and ensure closure of non‑conformities.
• Integrate environmental requirements into construction methodologies, method statements, procurement and daily site operations.
• Act as the primary environmental focal point for the client, engineer, regulators and project team, providing technical guidance, training and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Marine Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of environmental management experience on construction or EPC projects.
• Proven experience preparing and implementing CEMP/CESMP programmes and managing environmental baseline surveys and monitoring.
• Experience coordinating environmental consultants and accredited laboratories and ensuring compliance with international environmental standards.
