Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is looking for a Non‑Key Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation services and applications, especially those built on Copernicus data, to address key climate, environmental and development priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale Earth Observation services and applications for African stakeholders.
• Leverage Copernicus data and products to create solutions in early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management, biodiversity and other sectors.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building with African institutions and user communities.
• Support policy dialogue and private‑sector engagement to foster sustainable space ecosystems.
• Contribute to project proposals, reporting and coordination within the AESPP Boost framework.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services and applications, preferably using Copernicus data.
• Demonstrated experience working with African institutions or facilitating user uptake is an asset.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese considered a plus.
