Finance Manager

About the role

The company is a stay‑booking platform that connects guests with hosts and service providers and manages three‑way funds (guest wallets, host payouts, and deposits) under strict financial controls. We’re looking for a Finance Manager to serve as the first line of defense for company liquidity and customer funds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily liquidity and approve withdrawal/payout batches within defined limits.
• Oversee the monthly closing process and report financials to executive management.
• Review and approve bank reconciliations; resolve material discrepancies in trust/escrow funds.
• Own annual and quarterly budgeting across all departments.
• Manage insurance policy and the compensation/claims wallet (damages and deposits).
• Enforce segregation of duties (preparer / approver / executor) on every sensitive transaction.
• Monitor statutory obligations (taxes, social security, payroll) and ensure timely remittance.
• Conduct monthly performance evaluation of the finance team and drive improvement plans.

Required profile

• Experience in finance management or accounting, ideally in a business using digital wallets, payment gateways or applications.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Experience with liquidity management, financial reporting, and monthly closing.
• Ability to work with precision under pressure; single‑signature exceptions and hidden discrepancies are never acceptable.
• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP is required – you’ll use it as the central financial system, so comfort with its accounting, reconciliation, and reporting modules is essential.
• Proficiency in English.
