Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst - Upstream Oil & Gas

About the role

A Senior FP&A analyst is needed in the upstream oil and gas industry (E&P). The role supports budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, working closely with Operations, Projects, Commercial and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Prepare financial models, scenarios, sensitivities and business cases.
• Perform variance analysis, KPI reporting and performance analysis.
• Support investment evaluations and provide financial insights to management.
• Maintain accurate financial data, assumptions and reporting.
• Support asset planning, including production, CAPEX and commercial assumptions.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Strong experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas / E&P economics, production and CAPEX drivers.
• Experience in an E&P / upstream Oil & Gas environment is highly preferred.
• Professional English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work according to the required Libya work pattern.

• Analytical and communication skills.
• Exposure to PSC, cost recovery, JV planning and AFEs is an advantage.
