Trade Marketing Representative (Tobacco)

About the role

Salvo Grima Group, a group of companies active in ship supply, travel retail, wholesale and product distribution across Europe and worldwide, is looking for a Trade Marketing Representative (Tobacco) for its operations in Libya. The role is based in Benghazi and supports the local manager, handles the day-to-day administration of the office and coordinates the marketing activities of Salvo Grima in Libya. It also covers daily market surveillance of product availability and pricing, service quality and relationships with retailers and consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
• Assist in preparing, coordinating, collecting, producing, supervising and following up promotions and marketing events.
• Represent Salvo Grima and its clients professionally and build customer relationships.
• Carry out daily market surveillance and prepare weekly reports, including a weekly market summary on competition activity.
• Prepare daily reports on market research and initiate and analyse consumer and market research to identify trends and target preferences.
• Maintain an internal database on product availability and pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of marketing and promotional principles.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Professional appearance and demeanour, excellent communication skills, strong time management and organisation.
• Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented and entrepreneurial, with a basic level of English appreciated.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
