Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Technician

About the role

Join the Manufacturing & Service team in Benghazi as an Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Technician for downhole tools. You will assemble, test, troubleshoot and repair complex electronic, mechanical and hydraulic components used in oilfield operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot and repair downhole electronic assemblies such as PCBs, sensors, telemetry modules, power systems and wiring harnesses.
• Disassemble, inspect and repair mechanical components including housings, bearings, shafts, seals, fasteners and connectors.
• Assemble, test and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, valves, pistons, actuators and pressure chambers.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and system‑level testing using standard test equipment and fixtures.
• Conduct pressure, leak and environmental testing to verify compliance with specifications.
• Document inspection records, maintain component traceability and support root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Associate degree in electromechanical technology, electronics, electrical or mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with electromechanical, hydraulic or downhole tool systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment and available to work in Benghazi.

Required skills

• Use of electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and torque‑controlled assembly practices.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and test data entry.
• Familiarity with SAP, Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑J‑STD‑001 standards.
