Business Development Manager – Libya Oil & Gas & Power

About the role

A leading international engineering and energy solutions provider seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Libyan market, focusing on oil & gas and power generation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and expand new customers and business opportunities across Libya, generating and converting leads into secured contracts.
• Develop and implement market-entry and growth strategies, lead commercial negotiations, tender submissions, and contract discussions.
• Work closely with technical, engineering, operations, and supply‑chain teams to ensure successful project execution and maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Monitor industry developments, investment trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity, providing market insights to senior management.
• Establish strong relationships with key customers, government authorities, industry partners and represent the company at conferences and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• 8+ years of business development or sales experience in oil & gas, energy or industrial equipment sectors.
• Strong network within Libya's upstream, midstream and power industries.
• Proven track record of winning contracts and achieving sales targets.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

• Experience with stimulation equipment.
• Gas compression packages.
• Gas turbines and power generation systems.
• Rotating equipment or energy infrastructure projects.
