Data and Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Data and Infrastructure Engineer will design, build and maintain data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, ensuring data from multiple sources is collected, processed and stored in a reliable, secure manner. You will work closely with application architects, product teams and executives to enable data‑driven solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, collect, process and store data from diverse sources, transforming raw data into analysis‑ready formats.
• Design, plan, manage and maintain cloud environments in line with security guidelines.
• Act as the focal point for system requirements, ensuring seamless data transformation and loading across cloud vendors.
• Perform data loading, migration, retrieval, mapping and quality control for multiple data sources.
• Run assessments of data and infrastructure, providing improvement recommendations.
• Develop RESTful services using JSON or XML and integrate them with existing data providers.
• Maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, and debug issues in virtualised, containerised and micro‑service stacks.
• Deploy and manage container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Handle incidents, change requests and problems as first‑line support and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data‑engineer best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and operating data pipelines and storage solutions.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and translate technical requirements into actionable solutions.
• Solid understanding of security, governance and compliance in cloud environments.
