Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Team Member

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking an Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Team Member for its Libya programme. The role supports the BRIDGE project, delivering risk education, victim assistance and data collection to enhance safety in targeted communities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mine action activities safely, following DRC SOPs, including EORE sessions and victim assistance in communities and schools.
• Collect and report community data, accident and victim information, and support the MEAL team with impact assessments.
• Develop, test and disseminate IEC materials, and organise public awareness campaigns.
• Maintain and secure equipment, drive DRC vehicles when required, and be ready for deployment outside Tripoli.

Required profile

• At least 1 year experience in EORE and victim assistance programming.
• Recognised EORE qualification with certificate.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a humanitarian organisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, communication or related field (or secondary diploma with relevant experience).
• Native Arabic speaker with basic English reading, writing and speaking.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Knowledge of GIS Survey123 or IMSMA for data collection.
