Field Coordinator – Libya Field Operations

About the role

The organization is seeking experienced Field Coordinators to manage and supervise field data collection activities across assigned locations in Libya. Coordinators will ensure that fieldwork follows approved methodologies, ethical standards and security protocols while supporting smooth operations and high‑quality data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for field coordination in designated locations.
• Coordinate with community leaders, local authorities and other stakeholders to secure access and facilitate field activities.
• Develop and implement daily field movement plans and activity schedules.
• Form, mobilize and supervise field teams, ensuring operational readiness and local knowledge.
• Oversee logistical arrangements in collaboration with the Team Leader.
• Monitor quality of field work through spot‑checks, daily follow‑up and review of completed tasks.
• Enforce ethical standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, PSEA, Do No Harm and safeguarding principles.
• Report operational, access, security or quality issues promptly and submit daily progress updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field coordination, data collection or similar humanitarian operations.
• Strong ability to supervise teams and manage logistics in challenging environments.
• Excellent communication skills with community leaders, authorities and project staff.
• Commitment to ethical standards and security protocols.
