Head of Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Cardiac Anesthesia & ICU to lead clinical and operational activities of the Cardiac Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized anesthesia and critical care for high‑risk cardiac patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day clinical operations of the Cardiac Anesthesia and ICU department.
• Provide specialized anesthesia care for cardiac and major surgical procedures.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill and high‑risk cardiac patients throughout peri‑operative and intensive care phases.
• Supervise anesthesiologists, intensivists, nurses and other clinical staff, ensuring high standards of patient safety and quality.
• Develop, implement and maintain clinical protocols, guidelines and treatment pathways.
• Monitor department performance, clinical outcomes and quality indicators, leading audits and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Specialist degree in Anesthesiology with a Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in cardiac anesthesia and intensive care.
• Proven experience in clinical leadership and multidisciplinary team management.
