Heating Air Conditioning Technician

About the role

The Heating Air Conditioning Technician will work full‑time on‑site in Benghazi, installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems for commercial and event‑related facilities. The role supports safe, efficient operation of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning equipment, especially during high‑traffic events.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and repair heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial and event venues.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting to restore system performance.
• Coordinate with facility managers, document maintenance activities and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Respond to urgent service requests during events or peak operational periods.
• Support preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting ability for mechanical and performance issues in HVAC systems.
• Plumbing skills for HVAC installations, condensate drainage and basic piping work.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, cleaning and component replacement.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and environmental standards for refrigerants.
• Electrical competence for safe handling of wiring, controls and components in HVAC equipment.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration or a related field (preferred).
• Experience working in commercial or large‑scale facilities, preferably in event or infrastructure environments.
