About the role
The Logistics Specialist coordinates domestic and international movement of assets, products, and materials for the Business Line. The role ensures cost‑effective routing, optimal equipment utilization, and compliance with internal policies and international transport regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Validate transport requests and delivery dates for defined regions or lanes.
- Prepare equipment load plans and maximize rental and call‑out equipment utilization.
- Plan and book shipments using approved carriers, 3PLs, and preferred contracted rates.
- Monitor shipment execution, track movements, manage deviations, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Manage weekly fixed schedules, regional milk runs, and issue work orders with cost approvals.
- Identify logistics network improvement projects and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Assess carrier performance on‑time delivery and pickup.
- Act as liaison with Import/Export teams and maintain electronic documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international logistics processes.
- Ability to analyze transport data, detect deviations early, and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and logistics suppliers.
Required skills
- Use of logistics planning and rate‑checker tools.
- Knowledge of international transport regulations.
- Experience with carrier performance assessment.
