Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Perfect Engineering - Solutions & Design LTD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its on‑site team in Benghazi, Libya. The role involves supervising the installation of building mechanical systems and ensuring seamless coordination with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection and other electromechanical components.
• Review shop drawings, technical calculations and installation documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and attend design coordination meetings.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to handover.
• Ensure compliance with international and regional mechanical codes and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong foundation in building services engineering.
• Experience in consulting or design firms and familiarity with tender and permit processes is an advantage.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Hands‑on experience with HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Ability to perform technical calculations and review shop drawings.
• Project management planning, coordination and documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant mechanical codes, standards and best practices.
