Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Manager

About the role

The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Manager leads International Medical Corps‑Libya’s MHPSS programming, working closely with local partners and government stakeholders to implement and monitor projects that address mental health needs in the country.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all MHPSS programming at the country level.
• Supervise and build capacity of the MHPSS team, including performance reviews and professional development.
• Maintain regular coordination with the Program Coordinator, Country Director, and other health, nutrition, and MNH teams.
• Ensure compliance with legal and grant requirements in partnership with the Grants and Contracts Management Department.
• Collaborate with national implementing partners and government focal points for project implementation and monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance for MHPSS trainings, supervision, and the revision of national mental health treatment protocols.
• Represent IMC MHPSS in national stakeholder meetings and with key government officials.
• Conduct field visits for monitoring, evaluation, relationship building, and quality assurance.
• Oversee procurement, distribution, and monitoring of psychotropic medication in coordination with logistics, finance, and partners.
• Support the development and functioning of MHPSS referral pathways.
• Lead monitoring and evaluation activities, develop tools, and analyze program data.
• Prepare internal and external MHPSS reports ensuring high quality and timeliness.
• Manage the MHPSS program budget and coordinate regularly with the finance department.

Required profile

• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience managing MHPSS programs and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to work with national partners, government agencies, and international donors.
