MHPSS SOP Development Consultant (Remote)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks an experienced consultant to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and related technical resources for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programmes in Libya. The role is home‑based and supports multiple ongoing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a desk review of existing MHPSS tools, resources, and documentation available in Libya.
• Consult with IOM staff to identify technical needs, gaps, and priorities.
• Prepare a need and gap analysis report with recommendations.
• Develop workplans and draft MHPSS guidelines, technical sheets, guidance notes, and SOPs.
• Compile a comprehensive MHPSS Handbook aligned with international standards and IOM best practices.
• Incorporate feedback from IOM technical teams into final deliverables.
• Participate in virtual meetings, provide monthly progress reports, and submit all deliverables on schedule.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MHPSS programming and technical document development.
• Proven ability to conduct assessments, produce analytical reports, and create guidance materials.
