Movement Operations Coordinator – Mobility VN

About the role

The Movement Operations Coordinator supports IOM’s Libya Country Office in delivering resettlement, voluntary humanitarian return, staff travel and emergency response operations. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and Deputy Chief of Mission, the role ensures that all movement activities follow IOM guidelines and SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all movement operations, including resettlement, voluntary humanitarian return, staff travel and emergency response.
• Supervise Operations Unit staff, providing capacity‑building, technical guidance and oversight of in‑house tools.
• Maintain liaison with Libyan authorities, diplomatic missions, UNHCR and other partners to ensure smooth selection missions and logistical support.
• Ensure compliance with the Resettlement and Movement Management Division (RMM) guidelines and IOM Standard Operating Procedures.
• Utilise and train staff on MiMOSA, iGATOR and the AMADEUS reservation system.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating humanitarian or migration‑related movement operations.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior mission staff and follow technical guidance from regional specialists.
• Strong organisational and liaison skills with government and UN agencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MiMOSA movement management system.
• Proficiency with iGATOR application tools.
• Proficiency with AMADEUS booking reservation system.
