Procurement Associate (SC6)

About the role

The Procurement Associate (SC6) supports efficient procurement operations for the World Food Programme in Libya, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services in compliance with WFP rules and regulations. The role contributes directly to the delivery of humanitarian assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end procurement processes for goods and services.
• Prepare, review and validate procurement documentation and contracts.
• Liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance with WFP procurement policies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports and databases.
• Support market assessments and supply‑chain planning activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions, preferably within an international or humanitarian organization.
• Knowledge of UN/WFP procurement regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
