Protection Assistant - Child Protection - Case Management

About the role
The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Protection Assistant to support child protection case management in Tripoli, Libya. The role focuses on delivering essential protection services, psychosocial support, and facilitating referrals for children at risk.
Key responsibilities
- Implement child protection case management in line with DRC policies, SOPs and minimum standards.
- Provide direct psychosocial support (PSS) to children and families under the guidance of the Protection Team Leader.
- Facilitate and accompany referrals to appropriate services, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to standards.
- Support the establishment and safe operation of Child Friendly Spaces and community‑based protection mechanisms.
- Collect, enter and analyse case data for internal and inter‑agency reporting.
- Participate in trainings, supervision sessions and incorporate technical feedback into daily work.
- Use participatory approaches to engage children and communities, identifying protection concerns.
Required profile
- Experience in child protection, humanitarian assistance or related fields.
- Understanding of child protection standards and ability to work with vulnerable populations.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, data protection and ethical practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and local partners.
