Protection Team Leader - Child Protection

About the role
The Protection Team Leader – Child Protection will oversee the day‑to‑day implementation of Danish Refugee Council’s child protection programme in Tripoli. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the holder will manage a team of 11 protection staff and ensure high‑quality case management, child‑friendly spaces and school‑based interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding of team members in line with DRC SOPs.
- Provide performance management, regular feedback and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Organise field presence, workload distribution and leave planning to guarantee effective programme delivery.
- Deliver technical supervision, field visits and coaching to ensure compliance with child protection minimum standards.
- Co‑facilitate trainings on child protection topics for DRC staff and external stakeholders.
- Oversee case management processes, monitor implementation fidelity and support MEAL activities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive team environment and promote staff wellbeing.
Required profile
- Advanced knowledge of child protection concepts, standards and programming.
- Proven experience managing protection teams in humanitarian settings.
- Strong ability to provide technical supervision, coaching and capacity‑building.
- Excellent communication skills and adherence to DRC Code of Conduct.
