Senior Mechanical Engineer – Lead Design Projects

About the role

Severas L.L.C. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design projects on‑site in Tripoli. The role covers the full product lifecycle from concept development to detailed engineering, validation, and support of R&D initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects, managing concept, detailed engineering and validation phases.
• Oversee machine design activities and produce technical drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with performance, safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, managing project timelines and resources.
• Support research and development to improve existing products and introduce new solutions.
• Review specifications, conduct engineering analyses, and supervise testing and prototyping.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in mechanical system analysis and design.
• Proficiency in machine design and Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) for detailed models and assemblies.
• Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Background in research and development, capable of investigating new technologies and optimizing designs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Senior or lead engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing or mechanical product environments.
• Ability to work on‑site in Tripoli and collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and familiarity with engineering standards and safety regulations.
