Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high‑performance software solutions that support the company’s digital products and fintech operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, high‑performance software applications and services.
• Develop and optimise web‑based systems and applications, ensuring usability, performance and maintainability.
• Build, maintain and enhance POS and mobile applications with seamless backend integration.
• Design, develop and integrate APIs, services, SDKs and third‑party system integrations.
• Contribute to software architecture and continuously improve system performance, scalability and reliability.
• Apply secure coding practices, authentication, encryption, RBAC and other security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, integrating security and quality checks such as SAST, DAST and dependency scanning.
• Manage source control using Git, follow branching strategies, conduct peer code reviews and uphold high code quality standards.
• Develop and execute software tests, troubleshoot defects and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure solutions comply with fintech security and compliance requirements, including PCI DSS where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development or a related role.
• Experience in fintech, payment applications, POS, mobile banking or telecommunications.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven application development, LLMs and AI‑assisted workflows.
• Understanding of Specification‑Driven Development (SDD) standards.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps for task tracking and CI/CD pipelines.
