Timekeeper

About the role

The Timekeeper will ensure accurate daily attendance, working hours, overtime, and leave records for project employees and workers across multiple construction sites. This role supports HR and payroll processing by providing timely and reliable attendance data while collaborating with site supervisors and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor daily attendance, shifts, absences, late arrivals, and leave for all project staff.
• Maintain attendance records using biometric systems, timesheets, or manual sheets.
• Verify attendance and overtime with Site Supervisors, Foremen, and Department Heads.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly attendance and manpower reports.
• Identify discrepancies, coordinate resolution with supervisors and HR, and submit verified data within payroll cut‑off periods.
• Maintain documentation of new joiners, transfers, demobilizations, and employee movements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration or related field; HR certification is a plus.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a Timekeeper, Attendance Clerk, HR Assistant or similar role, preferably in construction.
• Ability to work in challenging environments, deliver results under pressure, and travel within Libya as needed.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of attendance and timekeeping systems, including biometric solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for attendance reporting.
