Accounting Manager

About the role

ALTKAMEL NET is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and provide reliable reporting to senior management. The role requires hands‑on experience with Odoo’s Accounting module and a strong focus on financial controls and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, customer and supplier accounts, and general ledger maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records in Odoo, ensuring all transactions have proper documentation and approvals.
• Reconcile internet subscription payments, bank accounts, cash balances, card payments, and online collections.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and coordinate payment follow‑up with sales and customer service teams.
• Review supplier invoices, verify supporting documents, and schedule payments within approved budgets.
• Oversee operating expenses such as internet capacity, tower rentals, utilities, and equipment purchases.
• Prepare payroll, manage employee advances, and process authorized deductions.
• Maintain inventory accounting, fixed‑asset records, and coordinate stock reconciliations.
• Complete monthly and annual closing, producing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow reports.
• Prepare cash forecasts, support budgeting, and explain variances between actuals and budget.
• Improve accounting procedures and validate Odoo integrations with the technical team.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisers for statutory reporting.
• Supervise assigned accounting staff while safeguarding confidential information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience, including financial reporting and month‑end closing.
• Practical experience with Odoo, especially its Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory modules.
• Strong knowledge of cash management, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with Libyan accounting and statutory requirements.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
