Content Moderator (Trust and Safety Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) to join our remote team. In this position you will safeguard the platform by reviewing user‑generated text, images and videos, ensuring they comply with community standards and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content—including text, images, and videos—focusing on high‑priority queues and edge cases that need human judgment.
• Monitor daily queues to spot new abuse patterns (e.g., emerging spam techniques, coordinated hate campaigns) and promptly escalate them to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements to increase review speed without sacrificing accuracy.
• Maintain a high accuracy rate (95%+) on moderation decisions and participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistency.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases, make final determinations on reinstatement requests, and serve as a designated responder during “red‑alert” situations such as graphic live‑streamed events.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety operations, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• Strong emotional fortitude and proven strategies for digital wellness when reviewing disturbing content.
• Deep understanding of regional nuances, cultural sensitivities, and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political speech.
• Track record of maintaining quality metrics while processing high volumes (80‑100+ pieces per hour).

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation tools such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Experience using Google Workspace.
