Electrical Engineer – Building Services Design

About the role

QP is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, coordinate and supervise electrical and building services systems from concept through construction. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, efficient and innovative solutions for a diverse international client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design and supervise installation of electrical building services, including lighting, power distribution, ELV, lifts, BMS, escalators, lightning protection and fire alarm systems.
• Lead electrical and M&E design packages from concept to detailed design and construction, ensuring coordination with other disciplines.
• Support PMC activities such as peer reviews, quality assurance, technical assessments and site supervision.
• Monitor on‑site works, witness testing and commissioning, and ensure compliance with contract documents, legislation and safety standards.
• Prepare complete as‑built documentation for project handover.
• Assist with commercial aspects like payment applications, variations and claims.
• Monitor building systems performance, maintenance needs and integration of new technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering building services engineering design on complex, multi‑sector projects.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, health & safety and environmental sustainability in engineering delivery.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
