Financial Controller

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance operations for its Libyan entities. The role combines financial stewardship, compliance oversight, and strategic partnership to support the company’s growth and sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain financial and management procedures in line with internal standards and controls.
• Act as Finance Business Partner and head of finance for the legal entity, shaping finance strategy and departmental KPIs.
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting, banking transactions, and internal control systems.
• Conduct contract reviews, financial due diligence for agents, and ensure compliance.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, reports, annual budgets, and support internal and external audits.
• Analyse financial results, highlight deviations, and propose corrective actions.
• Manage accounts receivable, collections, cash‑flow forecasting, and working‑in‑progress tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, business processes, and ERP systems.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant finance experience, including treasury management.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organisational, and independent‑working abilities.
• Attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability to change.
