Head of Human Resources

About the role

Alfnia, a leading aluminium manufacturer in Libya and part of the Sulaiman Holding Group, is seeking a dynamic Head of Human Resources to lead its HR function in Benghazi. This full‑time, on‑site position will shape HR strategy, ensure compliance with local labour laws, and drive a high‑performing, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR department and develop comprehensive HR policies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation.
• Ensure strict compliance with Libyan labour and employment legislation.
• Manage employee relations, resolve workplace issues, and foster a positive organisational culture.
• Design and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to support growth.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with the company’s strategic vision.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Human Resources management, preferably in manufacturing, trade, energy, or food sectors.
• Deep knowledge of labour and employment law with a proven record of regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage HR policies.
• Strong background in employee relations and workplace dynamics.
• Strategic leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or certifications (SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
