HSE Manager – Construction Project in Misrata, Libya

About the role

ISS International Spa is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental activities for a high‑profile aviation fuel infrastructure project in Misrata, Libya. The role starts in September 2026 and will oversee safety compliance throughout the construction of the Hydrant Refueling System (HRS) and its associated Emergency Shutdown Buttons (ESB) and Leak Detection System (LDS).

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures specific to the HRS, ESB and LDS installations.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and incident investigations on‑site.
• Ensure compliance with local Libyan regulations and international HSE standards.
• Coordinate safety training for all personnel and manage emergency response plans.
• Report HSE performance metrics to project management and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE Manager in large‑scale construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of aviation fuel handling safety requirements.
• Ability to work on a 60‑day on / 10‑day off rotation schedule.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
