Information Security Compliance Officer

About the role

The Libyan Islamic Bank is looking for an Information Security Compliance Officer to join its Information Security Governance Team. The role focuses on ensuring the bank meets international and local information security standards while supporting the continuous improvement of its Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with international and local information security standards and regulations.
• Develop, review, and update information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Maintain and document the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Support internal and external audit activities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Risk Management Department to assess and monitor information security risks.
• Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to information security compliance.
• Promote security awareness and foster a culture of compliance across the bank.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for information security governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in information security, compliance, or governance.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and experience with ISMS.
• Understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance concepts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
