Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix support on an on‑call freelance basis. The role involves both onsite and remote work, helping enterprise customers resolve hardware, network and virtualization incidents while delivering professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues.
• Diagnose network connectivity problems (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports and service records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Proven Break & Fix support experience in enterprise settings.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90 % score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication (spoken and written) and ability to work independently with customers.
