Payroll Specialist – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join Presto’s HR team in Tripoli. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, handling attendance data, deductions, bonuses and related inquiries in line with company policies and Libyan labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and review employee attendance, timesheets and working‑hour data.
• Calculate payroll components including overtime, deductions, allowances, bonuses and incentives.
• Prepare and verify payroll reports before final approval.
• Coordinate with HR for payroll authorisations and execute salary payments via electronic systems or checks.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and update wage data, salary adjustments and related changes.
• Calculate taxes and statutory deductions in compliance with labour laws.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide periodic payroll reports for finance and senior management.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and support financial settlement reporting.
• Oversee employee wallet funding and cash transfer processes to ensure timely salary distribution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field (high school diploma with relevant experience also considered).
• Previous experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll/accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Libyan labour regulations.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to operate payroll systems and database software.
• Basic mathematical skills for payroll calculations and validation.
