Procurement Chief (Mechanical Engineer) – Libya Project

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Chief with a Mechanical Engineering background to lead procurement activities for a large‑scale superstructure project in Libya. The role will ensure that all mechanical and related systems are sourced efficiently, meeting technical specifications and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed procurement schedules aligned with construction priorities.
• Identify and qualify suppliers, conducting both technical and commercial evaluations.
• Review technical specifications to guarantee that purchased materials comply with project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with the Design Office, Technical Office, site teams and planning departments to manage delivery logistics.
• Track procurement status, report risks and propose mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of procurement experience, preferably on large construction projects.
• Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting and other mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of international procurement practices.
• Fluent English communication skills.
