Program Assistant – Ajdabiya or Kufra

About the role

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Libyan Red Crescent Society (LRCS) in implementing health interventions in the Ajdabiya and Kufra regions. The role focuses on strengthening coordination, monitoring, and reporting for sustainable health programs in rural and remote areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the rollout and monitoring of health interventions targeting vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate with LRCS branches, national society partners, and sub‑national stakeholders to ensure timely implementation.
• Collect, analyse, and report program data to meet transparency and reporting commitments.
• Support capacity‑building activities for LRCS staff and volunteers.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain up‑to‑date program documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in public health, humanitarian studies, development, or a related field.
• Experience in program support or coordination within humanitarian or health projects.
• Familiarity with the Libyan context and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
